We hope everyone had a blessed Christmas, and now it's time to start a new year! It is always an exciting time to look back on what Christ has done in the past year and get excited about what He is going to do in the year ahead. We are very excited about the new year as we look ahead to making renovations and updating our building. We are excited to provide a better facility for the youth we work with and for our community. We have some great plans in store for this year, and we hope you will join us through your prayer and financial support. We are not able to keep our doors open without the support from individuals, churches and businesses like yourself. We prayer that each of you would have a wonderful and blessed year!
Believe it or not the year is coming to an end. 2012 is almost here. Looking back, 2011 was an exciting year for us, and the future is looking even more exciting. This past year we were able to purchase the building we have been operating out of the past 20 years. The purchase of this building solidifies our presence in the community for many years to come. We are excited about the opportunity to finally be able to renovate and update our youth center. This will enable us to provide a better facility for our existing programs as well as for future programs and endeavors. We are currently working with a local contractor to start the renovation process. With the help of a contractor we are compiling a list of what needs to be done to the building, and how much it will cost to complete.
These things will allow us to continue to provide a safe and accepting place for the youth in our community. A place where they can see, hear and feel the love of Jesus Christ. There is a great need in the lives of youth for such a place. Their world is becoming increasingly unsafe. Home is no longer a safe place. School is no longer a safe place. This is why we exist, to offer FAITH, HOPE and LOVE to the Ephrata community. We do this by providing a safe place for individuals to come, be LOVED, see HOPE for tomorrow and be presented with FAITH through Jesus Christ. We are a safe place where youth can feel free to be themselves. A place where kids can be kids. Unfortunately sometimes we are the only safe place they have.
The purchase of and renovating the building are very exciting. They will enable us to do so much for our community, but they also cost us money. Please consider an investment in our community and in our future generations. Not only will a year end gift help us to cover our yearly budget, but it will also help us to pay off our building and pay for updating and renovating our building. There is a great need for this safe place in our community. We are working with the youth of our community, to provide them with opportunities they would not otherwise have. We are helping the youth to grow mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. But this all comes at a cost. Please consider a gift that would help us to continue to provide these services and programs for our community. Every little bit helps. We are not able to do this without your help. Our doors are only able to stay open through the financial support of individuals like yourself.

We are very excited to inform you that we have purchased the building we have been renting for the past 20 years. For many years we have been praying about, and working to try and purchase the building we are in. We are excited that we are able to secure our future on Church Street and continue to serve the community and specifically the children of Ephrata. We want to be good stewards of our money, and getting rid of a monthly rental payment would be a huge way for us to make better use of our finances.
Please keep us in your prayers. Here are some specific ways you can pray for us:
- Praise God we were able to purchase our building and continue to provide a safe place for the youth of our community.
- Pray for us as we look at the renovations that need to be made to the building and be able to prioritize what should be completed first. Pray for us as we look as how we can create a space that is conducive to the needs of our programs and how we can use our space to better serve our community.
- Pray about supporting us financially for settlement costs, mortgage reduction, and renovations. If you feel led to give financially please mark your contribution as 'building fund' so we earmark the funds accordingly.
- Pray about giving of your time. We will need laborers who are willing to give their time and effort to get the work done. We will need supplies to help keep our renovation costs down. Please let us know if you would like to help us with our renovations. We will need painters, electricians, brick masons: the list goes on and on.
This is a very exciting time for our ministry and we are excited to partner with you on this project. Thank you for all of your prayers for our ministry and for the acquisition of this building. Our prayers are being answered! We are not able to do this without your support. Thank you for serving Christ and our community with us! Praise God for the ability to buy the building so we can better serve our community!
